Hybrid Learning at VPS

While many schools remained closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, Valley Prep was in full operation offering both on-campus and distance learning opportunities for our students. As other schools reopened and returned to business as usual, Valley Prep understood that the learning landscape had changed in the post-COVID world. Our hybrid learning program was developed to address this change. In a continuing effort to make our school as accessible as possible to all children across the Inland Empire, we invite you to join our school in one of two ways:

  1. As a full-time student enjoying small class sizes, innovative IB and STEAM programs using inquiry-based learning, and a diverse, familial environment.
  2. As a part-time student in our hybrid-blended learning program (see details below).

Hybrid-Blended Learning Program

  • Students from any school (including homeschoolers) can participate in our after school program which includes: music, art, languages, outdoor activities, STEM activities, tutorials, and enrichment opportunities. Certain programs may be available in a virtual format.
  • Homeschoolers can register for specific, on-campus classes such as: lab-based science in 6th through 8th grade; STEAM classes in 6th through 8th grade; art, music, and PE in kindergarten through 8th grade; and Spanish and French in 3rd through 8th grade. Contact the Admissions office for a full list and more details.
  • Valley Prep students can enjoy a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities. In addition to traditional (synchronous) classes which are taught in person, asynchronous learning does not require real-time interaction with teachers. Instead, our teachers can make content available online (in certain subject areas) for student to access when it best suits their schedule. Contact the Admissions office for more details.
